B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)

Govt. Autonomous Ayurved college Gwalior is affiliated to the MPMSU, Jabalpur (Latest Affiliation letter) and recognised by Central council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi. (Latest recognition letter) The academic and examination related activities are regulated by the Board of Studies and Academic Council of the University.

The courses are conducted in this institute.

Total Seats 75 Seats (11 seats are reserved for All India Quota and 05 for students of Nepal under ICCR Schemes)
Eligibility 12th with Science biology (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English.
Age Minimum 17 years.
Medium Hindi, English both & Sanskrit.
Admission Process The mode of admission is through a pre exam (common entrance test) of NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test).
Fees structure As prescribed by M.P. Govt. Norms.

Duration

4½ years + 1 year rotatory Internship. This course is divided into three professional each of 1 and ½ year with following subjects -

B.A.M.S. 1st Professional (one year)

  • Padartha Vignanam & Ayured itihas (Philosophyof Ayurveda).
  • Sanskrit
  • Kriya Shareeram (Physiology).
  • Rachana Shareeram (Anatomy).
  • Maulik Siddhant Avem Astang Hridayam

B.A.M.S 3rd Professionl (one year)

  • Roga Vigyan Evum Vikriti Vigyan (Pathology).
  • Charaka samhitha (Purvardha)
  • Swasthavritta (Social & Preventive Medicine).
  • Prasuti tantra Evum Stri Roga (Gynecology & Obstetrics).
  • Bal Roga

B.A.M.S. 2nd Professional (one year)

  • Dravya Guna (pharmacology and material medica).
  • Agada tantra, Vyavahara Ayurveda evum Vidhi vaidyak (Toxicology & Jurisprudence
  • Rasa Shastram Evum Bhaisajya Kalpana (Pharmaceuticals).
  • Charaka samhitha ( Purvardha).

B.A.M.S Final Profession (One & half year)

  • Shalya Tantra (General Surgery)
  • Shalakya tantra (Diseases of Head & Head & neck including Ophthalmology, ENT and Dentistry)
  • Kayachikitsa (Internal medicine including Manas Roga, Rasayan & Vajikarana
  • Panchakarma
  • Research Methodology & Medical statistics

Post Graduation Course (M.D.)

This is a Post graduation Degree course in the Dept. of Kriya Sharir (Physiology)

Total Seats 05 seats (01 seats are reserved for All India Quota)
Duration Three Years
Eligibility B.A.M.S.
Medium Hindi, English both & Sanskrit.
Admission Process The admission is going through the Pre P.G. common entrance test conduct by VYAPAM and reservation is followed by as per state government norms.
Fees structure As prescribed by M.P. Govt. Norms.
Stipend Per month 14000/- (I year), 14500/- (II year) and 15000/- (III year).

Panchkarma Training Certificate Course

This is a certificate course and conducted by Paramedical council, Bhopal for one year.

Duration One Year
Eligibility 12th (Higher Secondary) with any discipline.
Medium Hindi & English both
Age Minimum 17 years
Admission Process The admission is going through the Higher secondary merit list and reservation is followed by as per state government norms.

Yoga Training Certificate Course

This is a certificate course and conducted by Paramedical council, Bhopal for one year.
